Business Visa Requirements
For business meetings, conferences, and commercial activities in Mexico
- Original valid passport and a clear photocopy of the first and last page (vertical).
- Proof of legal stay in India (Visa copy and entry stamp) in case the applicant holds another nationality.
- Application form duly filled (printed on one page, double sided). Download here Guide to Fill Out the Form
- One recent passport-sized photograph (4.5 CM X 3.5 CM), white background, without glasses. Face should cover 80% of the photo.
- Original (in letterhead and hand-signed) cover letter given by your employer indicating the purpose and length of the trip. (Please include a copy of the passport or PAN card of the person signing the letter)

Appointment letter (Joining date document). All employees must have been working at least 1 year in the same company. If employees joined in less than one year:
- 12 month original bank statement from the company, stamped and hand-signed by the bank on every single page.
- Original and copy of a document attesting that the applicant has the experience to carry out the activity for which he is invited (example: original degree or educational certificate), duly apostilled.
- Original pay slips (stamped and hand-signed by the company) of the last 3 months. Please include a copy of the passport or PAN card of the signatory
- Original (in letterhead and hand-signed) letter of invitation from the Mexican company indicating the purpose, length of the trip and specifying what company will cover the employee's expenses. (Please include a copy of the passport or INE card/Residence card permit of the person signing the letter)
- Original personal bank statement (stamped and hand-signed) or pass book (last 3 months) certified by the bank.
- Personal Income Tax Return (ITR) acknowledgment (previous year).
- Receipt of visa fee payment (payable in INR at the current exchange rate). For rate of the current month, please see "Step 3: Pay visa application fee" on this website
Additional Requirements for Business Owners:
- Partnership deed which should include the name of the applicant or Company Registration before the State Government, duly apostilled.
- Income Tax Return of the Company for the last two years.
- Company Bank Statement for the last three months.
Important Note for Applicants from Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives:
All documents issued by their government (college degree, birth certificate, etc.) must be legalized first.
Tourist Visa Requirements
For leisure travel, sightseeing, and vacation purposes in Mexico

Please include a copy of the passport or PAN card of the person signing the letter.
- Original pay slips (stamped and hand-signed by the company) of the last 3 months. Please include a copy of the passport or PAN card of the signatory
- Original personal cover letter issued by the applicant stating length and purpose of the trip.
- Original personal bank statement (stamped and hand-signed by the bank) or pass book (last 3 months) certified by the bank.

IF self-employed:
- Original documents of business establishment apostilled, and
- Original deed of property ownership duly apostilled.
- Personal Income Tax Return (ITR) acknowledgment (previous year).

- Applicants from Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives: all documents issued by their government (college degree, business establishment, birth certificate, etc.) must be legalized first. For this process, click here
- For spouses who are financially dependent on the main applicant, include original and copy of marriage certificate duly apostilled and spouse's passport copy.
- For children/applicants under 25 years old who are financially dependent on the main applicant, include original and copy of birth certificate duly apostilled and parents passport copy
- For parents dependent on the main applicant, include original and copy of birth certificate of the main applicant duly apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs and passport copy
Advice for Parents with Minor Applicants:
As per visa process, all applicants including children need to give biometrics (picture and fingerprints). Please talk to your child before your visit to the Consular Section and prepare him/her for the same in order to process their application in a timely manner. On that date, we will take a photograph and fingerprints, and an interview will be conducted to confirm the purpose of the trip.
Invited by a Mexican Organization

Original (in letterhead and hand-signed) letter of invitation from the Mexican organization (public or private). This letter must contain the following details:
- Complete name of the person (same as in the passport) and nationality.
- Official Registry or Denomination of the organization. (Business name of the organization or institution).
- Number of the official registry, if it corresponds to the organization.
- Mission/objective of the organization or institution (private or public).
- Complete address and contact information of the organization or institution.
- Information of the activity or project that the guest is doing in the organization.
- Estimated duration of the activity that the guest will undertake.
- The letter will have to explicitly mention the commitment of the organization or institution to cover all expenses of the person invited during his/her stay in Mexico and the commitment of his return to his/her country of residence.
- Copy of an official identification with signature and photograph of the person who will sign this letter.
- Original and photocopy of the last 12 months bank statements or investment proofs of the Mexican organization or institution, stamped and hand-signed by the bank.
- A document attesting that the applicant has the experience to carry out the activity for which he is invited (example: original degree or educational certificate), duly apostilled.
